Today, we're excited to spotlight Casey, our Senior Product Specialist covering Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia. From demo days to dealer visits, Casey brings knowledge, energy, and a deep love for the Ferris brand wherever he goes.

Casey hails from Virginia Beach and joined the Ferris team in 2021 after working in the marine industry. A friend within the company recommended the role, knowing Casey was ready for something new. "That referral led to the best move I've made yet," he says. Outside of work, Casey enjoys playing softball and spending time on the water - always embracing the outdoor lifestyle.

 

A Soft Spot for the FW15

If you ask Casey about his favorite Ferris product, he doesn't hesitate to answer: the FW15 walk behind mower. Though it's the smallest unit in the Ferris lineup, he considers it the best 32" walk behind mower on the market. "It's the only one with a Honda engine, the onlye one with reverse capabilities, and it handles thick, wet grass without bogging down," he explains. It's proof that size doesn't always determine strength.

 

Breaking Down the Mower Lineup

Casey is quick to highlight the unique benefits of each mower style Ferris offers:

  • Zero Turn Mowers: Ideal for covering large acreage quickly and comfortably.
  • Stand-On Mowers: Perfect for efficiency and maneuverability, especially when navigating multiple properties in a day.
  • Walk Behinds: The best option for tackling steep slopes where other mowers may struggle.

His top pick for a zero turn model? The ISX2200. With 28hp and 30.5hp engine opitons, Casey describes it as a landscaper's perfect all-around mower. "It offers the best comfort and value for the price - it can handle whatever yard you throw at it."

For those purchasing their first Ferris mower, Casey's message is simple: "Enjoy being comfortable while mowing for the first time in your life. You'll never look back."

On the Road and On a Mission

What drives Casey most is the opportunity to meet new people and demonstrate how Ferris equipment can elevate their work. As a Product Specialist, he travels throughout his region, delivering hands-on demos that highlight Ferris’ signature features, particularly suspension systems that enhance comfort and productivity.

One of Casey’s most memorable demos involved a small airport crew who flew across state lines to test out the IS6200 diesel. Their local dealer didn’t have one available, so Casey coordinated with another dealer in a neighboring state to make it happen. He even picked them up from the airport, took them to lunch, and spent the day going over the machine. By the end of the visit, they were sold—and they’ve loved their 6200 ever since.

Rewarding Work and a Dream Machine

For Casey, the job’s greatest reward is seeing how Ferris products help customers grow their businesses. “Knowing you helped someone be more profitable or more efficient—that’s the best feeling,” he says.

And if he could customize his dream mower? No hesitation there either: “I’d go with an ISX3300, fully outfitted with a stripe kit, light kit, jack mount, and a set of Michelin Tweels. It would be the best mower on the block, hands down.”
